The Moroccan Agency for Energy Efficiency (AMEE) and Attawfiq Microfinance, a subsidiary of the Central Popular Bank Group, have signed a partnership agreement in the field of energy efficiency and decentralized renewable energy. The objective of the partnership is to promote energy efficiency and renewable energy, strengthen capacity and awareness, as well as design a new green financing model.

The Partners agree to cooperate closely and consult each other on matters of mutual interest in order to achieve their common goals, which are as follows:

• Promotion of energy efficiency and energy sobriety
• Strengthening capacity and raising awareness on energy and climate issues
• Promotion of decentralized renewable energy
• Promotion of green jobs
• Design of a new financing model.

Through this partnership, the signatories are embarking on a genuine energy efficiency policy, both financially and behaviorally, and are part of the initiatives aimed at reducing the carbon footprint.
